Raul: "this is my first Hat-Trick with the Right "

"The first goal is specially dedicated to Hugo who has a birthday today"Raul Gonzalez Blanco said that his Hat-trick against Werder Bremen was dedicated to his sons: "The first goal i dedicated for Hugo, today is his birthday. The victory was beautiful, the audience has enjoyed it. And from now on This victory should serve as a stimulus for further growth. This week against Lyon we need a serious test and add to stay in Europe where we have high hopes on. "He also confirmed that at the professional level, "it has been the first hat-trick with the right leg. I remember now others such as Sevilla, but the important thing is that the team is finding its place in the Bundesliga and now we have the great moral to facing the next game, "he added Raul, acclaimed at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. Before triplet Bremen had scored another to Ferencvaros (1995), Valladolid (1999, 2003), Zaragoza (2001), Nastic (2001), Real Betis (2008), Seville (2009) and it's Werder Bremen (2010) .

Hat-Trick Hero

Raúl's show at Veltins-Arena

Raul answered his critics with a stunning hat-trick in Schalke's 4-0 win over Werder Bremen this afternoon. Die Koenigsblauen easily came out on top in the battle of two of the Bundesliga's struggling Champions League teams at the Veltins Arena.

Felix Magath had underlined the importance of scoring the first goal and die Knappen deservedly took the lead halfway through the first half thanks to a stroke of luck. Jefferson Farfan's corner was met by Christoph Metzelder's bullet header, which found the back of the net via the crossbar and Tim Wiese's elbow.

Schalke have slowly been growing in confidence as the season has progressed and they managed a second goal in the dying seconds of the first half. Edu's thunderous free-kick was beaten away by Wiese but Raul, who had teed up the Brazilian, showed tremendous desire and anticipation to react the quickest and stroke the ball into the net,2-0

After the break, the Schalker dominance continued and Raul got his second brace in three games. Farfan broke down the right, leaving Petri Pasanen for dead before his ball bounced off an unsuspecting Klaas-Jan Huntelaar leaving the Spaniard to volley home into the net on his less-favoured right peg.

The Veltins-Arena had over 60,000 spectators for the 121st consecutive home game and all of them will remember Raul's hat-trick goal for years to come. In a repeat of his glorious strike in the pre-season Liga!total Cup, he exquisitely lifted the ball right-footed over a stranded Wiese to send the home fans into raptures. Fantastic Goal...!!! He could have done no more to earn his standing ovation when replaced late on by his compatriot Jose Manuel Jurado.

Congratulations Raul.

Raul Scored double against St.Pauli

Schalke07 3-0 St.Pauli

Schalke recorded a hard-fought victory against St Pauli in Gelsenkirchen, picking up three crucial points in their quest to return to the top half of the Bundesliga table. Raul opened the scoring in the first half and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored a second goal as the hosts picked up only their second win in the league.
Die Koenigsblauen started the game with attacking intent and were looking to score the opening goal in the early minutes of the game and that's exactly what happened.
In the 14th minute Raul tapped in a cross by Atsuto Uchida from the right wing after Huntelaar completely missed the ball to give the home crowd something to cheer about. On the second half, with 2-0 lead after Huntelaar's goal, Raul put the game beyond St Pauli's reach with a third goal to complete his brace. He scored with a simple tap in, following a horrible mistake in the visitors' defense.

"I am very happy and satisfied,I dedicate the victory for the team and all fans...I think the 3-0 victory may be just the beginning of a winning streak,I have not lost my eyes for goal" [Raúl González]

Raúl reclaims top scorer crown with Schalke

GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Raul has not been the quickest to adapt to pastures new with Schalke 04 after moving from his beloved Real Madrid but Wednesday offered evidence at last that he is finally feeling at home. His two goals - the Spaniard's first in the Champions League for the Germans following his July move - took Die Koenigsblauen to a 3-1 win over Hapoel Tel Aviv in Group B at the Veltins Arena, the goals advanced the competition's all-time leading scorer's tally to 68 and nobody was smiling more afterwards than his manager Felix Magath who knows better than most the problems Raul has had with only one goal in the Bundesliga so far.
"For him this is liberation. You just saw how good he positions himself. 68 goals," said Magath.

The 33-year-old Raul is too much of a professional and too experienced to break open the best red vintage just yet.
He opened his account in the third minute after Klaas-Jan Huntelaar let a Jose Manuel Jurado pass slide through his legs.
He doubled the hosts' lead with a close range effort in the 58th minute before Jurado added another 10 minutes later.
"I am delighted tonight because we played a very good game and we were better than our opponents," a beaming Raul told reporters.
"To score two goals in such a big game, my first for Schalke (in the Champions League) makes me feel good. I never thought I would score 68 goals. It is a day that I want to remember."
The Spanish icon grabbed the first goal of the game three minutes in before scoring the record-tying goal just before the hour mark. The impressive Jose Jurado added gloss to the performance with an excellent curling effort ten minutes later.Raul scored the second two minutes later. Ivan Rakitic played a delightful one-two with Jurado before squaring the ball to Raul. The Spanish ace kept his cool to slot the ball into the corner of the 'keeper's net to pass Gerd Mueller's European goalscoring record.
Raúl González said "even for me this is really special" after his first European goals for FC Schalke 04 took him past Filippo Inzaghi as continental club football's all-time top scorer.
Dedication, a long career and no small amount of skill are what you need if you want to be a record breaker. Raúl González's brace for FC Schalke 04 in Wednesday's 3-1 win against Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC eased him clear of AC Milan's Filippo Inzaghi as the outright top scorer in UEFA club competition.
Raúl's personal haul now reaches 70, with 68 of those strikes coming in the UEFA Champions League. The 33-year-old's move to Germany appears to have given the former Spanish international a new lease of life. Two expert finishes, one with either foot, sent the Arena AufSchalke into raptures as the Real Madrid CF great netted his first European goals for the Bundesliga side.
Raúl has been there, done that, and won it all, yet scoring in the UEFA Champions League has lost none of its lustre for the much-garlanded forward. He said: "I never imagined I would get so many goals in a competition like the Champions League, and even for me this is really special. I won the Champions League three times with Real Madrid, but today is a great day because I scored my first two Champions League goals for Schalke."

"I know what Raúl can do – I don't need to see any goals, I see nearly every day in training what a GIFTED player he is. He is a BLESSING for our team, an EXCEPTIONAL PLAYER. He's not only able only to score, but can also create chances. He will be happy about his two goals, he will enjoy it – but not with a glass of Rioja I hope."[Felix Magath]

He's not over yet

Three days later Schalke has a match against SL.Benfica in Champions League, the very important match after a disappointing defeat against Lyon on the first match. It was a very good game for Raul, who actually has a zero goal on that match, but he was play very well and got the Man of the match tittle. the game it self ended up with 2-0 victory for The Royal Blues.

‎"It was an important victory for us and even more so after the defeat in the first match against Lyon. We have two home matches left and this win today gives us new self-confidence for the next match. We have played well against a strong Benfica Team and it's the first step in reaching the next round"

Raul Presented As Schalke Player And Handed Number 7 Shirt

El Gran Capitan was officially presented as a Schalke player and will keep his legendary number...

As reported by Marca, Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez Blanco was officially presented as a Schalke 04 player today and will wear his traditional number seven at the German club. Real Madrid's all-time leading scorer, the 33-year-old was presented in the Veltins Arena this afternoon having successfully passed an obligatory medical exam.

According to reports, Chinese midfielder Hao Junmin ceded his No. 7 shirt to the former Madrid captain, declaring that it would be a pleasure to give the living legend his choice of shirt number. Junmin will now reportedly play in the No. 8 shirt.

The Madrid icon showed his enthusiasm for his new club and, in his usually gracious fashion, thanked his new club and its fans. "I want to thank the fans. For me this is a very special day, as I'm leaving after 16 years at my club. Now I have the desire to take on a new challenge. I come to a very competitive club that is playing in the Champions League and that is fighting for the Bundesliga.

"Schalke and their coach have shown their confidence in me and from the beginning showed great interest in making this a reality. This is an important challenge. I hope that the fans enjoy the team as well as me, and that we accomplish our goals that we have set for ourselves at the beginning of the season."

Always with a smile on his face, Raul posed with two miners and a block of coal, as Schalke is known as 'the miners' club', situated near the mining area of Ruhrgebiet. Raul went on to insist that he chose Schalke because of the interest the club showed in him along with "what I want in terms of level of competition".

El Siete revealed that he is "excited to play and work very hard. I hope that these two years are a marvellous experience. I am sure that everything is going to go very well. I want to score goals, but the most important thing is the team, not the personal objectives. It has been that way for me for the past 16 years."

Finally, Raul did not give much credence to a hypothetical match-up between Schalke and Real Madrid in the Champions League. While citing that "there is no clause in my contract that impedes me from playing against Madrid", the veteran striker recognised that such a situation would be "a very special one for me".

At the German club, Raul reunites with former Madrid centre-back Christoph Metzelder, who joined Schalke earlier this summer on a free transfer. The top scorer in the Champions League, Raul could debut with his new team as early as this Saturday in a friendly match against Hamburg.

Raul's presentation was scheduled to take place behind closed doors, but in the end Schalke fans were permitted to cheer the living legend, whose arrival has stolen headlines in Germany.
